POD NEVER DELIVERED!!!

Terrible experience with PODS. Had a confirmed delivery for 10/16, which had been booked a month prior, delivery timeframe given of 3pm-6pm even. No POD showed up during delivery window, after calling all evening, we were told several times it is still on the way. The following day when speaking with PODS customer service and corporate supervisors we still were never able to get a confirmed delivery that day, or even any time soon. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE TO DO THIS TO CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE PLANNED TIMELINES FOR MOVING!!!

Could Have Done Much Better

Based on my recent experience with PODS, I do not recommend using them for storage or moving. Listed below are the issues I encountered with them:

• I received a damaged container and PODS would not exchange it.

• PODS overcharged my credit card TWICE during the term of the rental.

• PODS lost track of my storage container in transit.

• PODS refused to deliver the container on date originally specified, despite it being at their facility.

• Customer service / customer resolution specialist has been completely unresponsive (waiting more than a month for a resolution).

I used PODS in the past and they were great; this time, not so much.

Move From Las Vegas To Buffalo, NY.

Doing business with PODS was excellent. They arrived when I requested and in the time they said. They addressed all my concerns and offered assistance when I asked for it. Everything arrived as I packed it and was happy to see nothing arrived broken.
This was a very positive experience and the cost was excellent. I highly recommend PODS and will use them again if I move.

WARNING SCAM AND NIGHTMARE COMPANY

BEWARE!

I ordered a pod on 07/12/2021 to be delivered 07/17/2021. My move was scheduled for 7/18/21. My lease was over in my current residence on the 18th and the pod was to be delivered to a family members home a day before so i can store my belongings while waiting for my new home to be ready. POD's rep ensured me that delivery would happen the day before and i would get confirmation of a delivery window. The evening before delivery i got an email stating that the delivery window would be on the 17th between 1:45-4:45 pm. The pod never arrived. I called at about 5pm that day and the agent told me they would deliver it if it was scheduled and i just had to be patient. I explained to the agent that i have an 8 month pregnant wife and movers were coming in the morning in anticipation of having somewhere to put my belongings. Also, that my lease was over and i could not extend and reschedule. The agent ensured me that the pod would come even if it was late at night. It never did. It is currently the 21st and i still do not have the storage unit. All of my belongings are out in the backyard of my family members home. I have called and chatted with customer service a dozen times over the last 5 days. Each time there is no answer as to why it was not delivered and that they need to email a manager to find out. They keep telling me someone will get back to me and no one has. There has been 0 communication with me (and it seems like internally as a company), not even an email. On top of all this they still charged my credit card. They also know that i have no where to put my things and am in danger of damaging all my property. I will also now have to pay movers again to load the pod if and when it finally does arrive. This is an absolute nightmare that no one should have to go through.

House damage

I used a PODS conatinerprior to a deployment for 1 years. I purchased a house while overseas, and before I teturned had them deliver the POD with my belongings. The driver hit my house and caused significant damage. My neighbors witnessed it, the driver admitted it and the store manager called and sent me pictures of the damage. This happened on 13JUL2021 and today is 03DEC2021. I've yet to receive to reimburse for the out of pocket expenses from their negligence. The claim expert takes over a week to respond to every email and doesn't answer any calls.

Overbooks beyond capacity to Redeliver

PODS was happy to book our move, take our money and take away our belongings in a pod. When it comes to redelivery, they have no capacity to return the pod for 4 weeks and charge extra rent while keeping it from us.

For a move to Chicago, our Pod was picked up in NY May 26. Sales reps and website advise 7 days advance notice to book redelivery due to high volume. June 9, we call to schedule delivery and nothing was available until after July 4th! The POD hadn't even left NY! And they charge $329 for a second month storage, even though they are the ones who refuse to redeliver.

Since we already signed a lease, we're losing $1900 for a months rent of an empty apartment, plus the cost of temporary housing. PODS was supposed to offer convenience and flexibility. In reality, they hold your belongings hostage. Avoid this business at all costs.

USE PODS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

DO NOT USE PODS. 6/24/2022. I found their customer service horrible. I was quoted a price and that wasn't even close to what they actually charged! After they had my stuff, they suddenly didn't deliver to the new zip code. They were supposed to deliver 6/8/22. It took three calls to get them to follow through on their promise to make an exception (even though it was their error). Multiple more calls and chats to get delivery. Then they didn't show up when they said they would to drop it off. One of my containers didn't get delivered until weeks later. They didn't pick up the pod when they said they would. Then I got a text that they were coming and they didn't show up. I had to use the chat to get a pickup scheduled many days after they were supposed to show up (even though that was much later than they said they would). AND ALL OF THIS CHARGING ME MORE FEES FOR RENTING THE POD BECAUSE WE WERE KEEPING IT LONGER THAN EXPECTED WHEN THEY WOULDN'T SHOW UP WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. Using a GPS tracker in the pod didn't help because they would say it was in one city or en route but that just wasn't true. Oh, and they leaked oil all over our new house's driveway. What's less than 0/5 stars? If you use them after reading this and get screwed over too then that's on you.

Update 6/24: Trying to use the customer service team that responded below some reviews.

Update 6/25: The pod is still in my driveway. I was assured they would be coming to pick up the empty container on Saturday between 8:30 and 11:30 am. Guess what? They didn't show. So I called customer service and told them I was upset at having to pay for more rental time when it wasn't my fault they didn't show up. I told them the entire story, was refunded part of the rental fee, tried to reschedule (again x4) and was disconnected. Instead of getting a call back, I had to call and tell the whole story all over to someone else. They offered $30 for my "inconvenience" and was told the day wasn't over and they still might show up or today (Monday) at the very least. Well, they still haven't showed up or even called today. I think they have just decided to abandon their property on my driveway.

Update 6/27: They didn't call or show up again. I had to call again this morning to schedule for tomorrow. Corporate has contacted me about the stains in my driveway.

Update 6/29: They didn't call or show up again. I had to call this afternoon to reschedule AGAIN. As usual, the customer service agent can't see what has been delivered or all the times it was scheduled for pickup. Next appointment is in 8 days. I complained and suddenly there is an appointment to have it picked up in 2 days. Customer service assures me it will be picked up this time. If you need to get ahold of me and don't know what I look like, I'll be the one not holding my breath.

Update 7/1: Never got an email last night about the pickup scheduled for today. I didn't get a text message confirmation this morning. I didn't get a phone call confirming the time. You are supposed to get all of these. I received none of them. But who cares?!? The cursed pod evaporated like a fart in the wind. How did this miracle happen? As the ancient philosopher Vince Neil opined, "Girl, don't go away mad. Girl, just go away."

Update 7/6: Turns out there was something to worry about with the POD retrieval. They dumped more oil/hydraulic fluid on our driveway when they picked it up. I notified the corporate office, but I still haven't heard back. I've given up hope that this will ever be made right. I thought it was just a local PODS office that had awful customer service. I might be wrong, but it doesn't look like it. I will never use PODS again and neither should you. Spread the word.

Long-distance move from Las Vegas, NV to Cleveland, OH

Your Items ARE NOT INSURED!!

I was looking to move from Las Vegas to outside of Cleveland and I initially found PODS to be a fantastic resource to move. They dropped the POD off, you fill it up, they pick it up and deliver it to your destination.

Upon booking, they said my items were insured up to a certain amount. I was thinking, great this will work out well if anything breaks in transit.

Well guess what.. A LOT was damaged in transit!

My couch got scratched up, tv stand damaged, treadmill ruined, book case damaged, bar stool damaged.

So needless to say I put in a claim. Well.. It was denied. I went back and forth with them and they claimed that it was the movers responsibility in Vegas. I called them and they wouldn't take the claim either, nor do I blame them. I watched the movers and they did a great job. They really took the time to cover and wrap everything and strategically place things in the POD.

So I leave you with this.. If you think your items are insured with your POD, they are not so use it at your own risk. If you're items get damaged in transit, you're screwed!

Also, when booking be sure to say their initial price is too high and they will go down a couple hundred dollars for you.

Long-distance move from Toledo, OH to Moreno Valley, CA

Overcharged and treated badly.

DO NOT USE PODS

Hello, I am unhappy with my service with PODS. Heres my story.

I called and got a quote to move from OH to CA on 8/18/17- my quote was for 2889.90+ tax ( including drop off, pick up, 1 months’ rent, transportation, redeliver, and final empty container pickup). My first pickup was scheduled for 8/24/17. Driver came after my window, and wouldn’t leave it in my driveway since I had trees hanging kinda low, and the would damage the equipment. He also wouldn’t leave it in the street cause there was a car at the neighbor’s house. So he left. I rescheduled for 8/26/17. I waited around to make sure there were no cars on the street, and it could be delivered. No one showed up or called. I called customer service a couple times, and they said sure, you're scheduled but that’s all we can say. So Sunday 8/27/17 I got a call from Gary at the local pods, and he said he doesn’t know what happened, but he would make sure it got picked up first thing Monday morning 8/28/17. And it did. but in turn I got a fee of 75$ plus tax! How was that my fault? Ok so on 9/6/17, by now I’m in CA, with an address, so I scheduled my pickup for 9/11/17, with a redeliver fee to my new house on 9/22/17 and a final empty pickup on 9/25/17. Great! However, no one showed up on 9/11/17. No call. no nothing. Again I reached out to Gary at the local Pods. He said there was nothing on the schedule, but hed put me on first thing 9/12/17. Which he did, and it was picked up. so here im thinking that it was on its way. Nope. I called last night 9/20/17. And the container is still sitting in Toledo. The agentm was sort of rude, and sais “well you didn’t schedule it, you have to do that!”. Of course I already did that. So now I am not going to get my stuff ( if it even comes now) until 9/30/17! I am here working, etc with most of my household stuff still in Toledo. Not to mention there is way more the 3200$ of charges on my credit card so far. It seems everyday I get :a new bill from PODS”. My final pickup of the empty container will be on 10/2/17, which puts me at another month’s rent, which is also not my fault. But I was told that more than likely I’ll be charged for it.

Im frustrated, it doesn’t seem that this has gone well, and I still am not close to getting my stuff. I have a family, and all our possessions should be here in CA with us. Instead were eating off paper plates, and plastic silverware, using a mini fridge, and going to the laundrymat since our stuff isn't here yet. Which was planned for, but that extra week, is going to be crazy!

Not to mention the extra charges, I don’t even know why it could possibly be over my original quote.

update:
Called 9/20/17 to verify delivery of container to Ca address. Spoke with Jewel in Customer Service. She advised that it had not even left yet, and that there was nothing schedule in the system. She insinuated that it was my fault that I hadn’t scheduled it at all, and was very rude about it to me.
Rescheduled for 9/30/17 to be delivered.
Called 9/29/17 spoke with Lesha , and she said the container had left Toledo on 9/27/17 since that was the scheduled date, and that it wouldn’t arrive until 10/11/17! I know I picked the right date. Again this was my fault.

10/12/17 Container was finally delivered after calling again to have it delivered.
10/16/17: empty container was picked up.

I have some damage to items as well: which I have since filed a claim for.

My couch was totally ruined- it arrived covered in black mold. Value $899
My sons dresser and cubby were ruined halfway up with water damage and mold. Value $200
Bag of clothes (sealed) were full of mold. Value $200
6 or 7 school/ education books were completely water logged and ruined. Value $ 200
I do not think that the damage would have been done if the container wasn’t delivered so late. I was living out of a suitcase for an extra 2 ½ weeks that was unnecessary. I wasted time being home waiting for them to make sure it would be delivered/ picked up. Because of the extra time it took to be delivered, I was unable to help load it, which costed more time.
From start to finish this has been a disaster. I do not feel I was treated right, or charged correctly.

PODS refuses to give me any money back, and when I disputed charges through credit card, they used the fact that I signed the original agreement, which I did, but they set you up on autopay, and charge whatever they want after that.

PODS destroyed my lawn.

They destroyed my lawn when delivering the POD. When I submitted pictures and video for a claim; they suggested someone dug up my lawn with a shovel. I’ll nver use PODS again and don’t recommend them. You are warned to get insurance but it only covers the actual POD. NOT your belongings or property and if you don’t get the insurance your liable for any damage to the POD. Really poor business practice and non existent customer service.

Nightmare from beginning to end.

I had a POD delivered to my home in advance of listing my home for sale. It arrived on a Tuesday, and I wasn't able to start loading until Saturday. When I opened the POD that morning, I discovered that water had leaked in all around the base of the POD. Worse yet, black mold was present on the walls. Thankfully, I had not been storing anything in it. I called and explained the problem and asked for a full refund and POD pickup. After a LOT of hassle, they agreed, and I thought the problem was solved. The POD was picked up when I was at work. When I arrived home I discovered that the driver had dropped the POD on my air conditioning condenser, crushing it beyond repair and causing nearly $4,000 worth of damage. Neither PODS nor the driver called to tell me about it. I called PODS yet again and was told that the driver had filed an incident report, and I would hear back from someone in "about 30 days". Since that was obviously an unacceptable answer, I had to file a claim with my homeowners insurance company, who, thankfully, processed the claim quickly. I'm now trying to get my $500 deductible back from PODS, and that's going about as well as all of my experiences with them so far. My advice--STAY AWAY.

Long-distance move from Santa Fe, NM to Seattle, WA

A mess from start to finish.

A disclaimer allows the company to place the POD at the "driver's discretion", which for us was a 25 minute drive away from our house not in the driveway as promised.

Then they picked up our POD 2 days early with no notice and for no reason causing the contents to appear as if they went through a rock tumbler. In addition to my shock when I went out to pack the POD only to find the POD disappeared, there is no 24 hour help line nor GPS on the POD. So, we just didn't know where our possessions were and received zero customer service. Then, once we tracked it down the next day, because it was picked up early, boxes that had started neatly stacked but not ready for transport were smashed and strewn throughout the POD 24 hours before the real pick up date.

Finally, despite all of this truly awful moving experience, the Company did not apologize, but rather offered me about a $200 credit if I sign a form barring me from leaving reviews like this one for other potential customers.

We had previously moved using a long-haul carrier. I think it was Atlas? That cost us about $5,000 in 2006. We thought we'd save money and gain flexibility with PODs, but in the end, using this method cost us $4,770 once all of the ancillary costs were factored in but with a TON more work, aggravation, and anxiety on our part.

PODs just isn't worth it. My dad, who worked his whole career in moving & storage always used to say, "Customer service is about how a company acts when things go wrong." PODs was AWOL when the many aspects of this move went wrong.

Do yourself a favor, and for a long-distance move . . . (Ours was about 1,500 miles) just hire real movers.

Long-distance move from Fort Collins, CO to Dryden, NY

No delivery or communication.

Not to exaggerate, but I would not wish my experience with PODS on my worst enemy. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! I have recently moved with my wife and 9 month old baby and we used PODS. We were supposed to receive our POD on 9/15. We even received the message the evening before (9/14) that our POD would be delivered between 10:30am-1:30pm. Around 12p that day, I received a call that my POD was delayed..to the FOLLOWING WEEK! Everything we possess is in this POD and we are now in our empty house with nothing. When I asked where my POD was, they replied that it was just “in route”, not at the warehouse it should be, and they had no way to track the actual geographic location (seems unbelievable in this day of age). My POD was supposed to be shipped on 9/5 and arrive at the local warehouse within 5-7 days (well before 9/15). That day, the employee that called me said he would contact the warehouse for accommodations to get the POD delivered sooner and get back to me right away. I have not heard from this employee since this phone call. The customer resolution team was also supposed to call me that day for compensation “as needed” for the delay and I have yet to hear from them too. I called again later that day and reached a new employee (PODS will never redirect your case to the same service person). This employee, Cindy, could not help much more but she at least she kept me on hold as she called the warehouse and submitted this to her supervisor Maria who was supposed to contact me again. Additionally my contract was changed without my verbal or electronic agreement because “it would not arrive that day, so it had to be changed”. No..this means PODS BROKE its part of the contract not that it needs to be “updated”! A contract is between 2 parties, not the business doing what is best for their behalf.

Sept 16: Cindy said she would call first thing in the morning for updates, which she did (only employee I am grateful for) but nothing new and she pinged Maria again to contact me. I have since called multiple times to reach Maria with multiple employees pinging and emailing her and she has not responded to me now 3 days later. That evening still no word from the warehouse or updates. Only that a scheduling dispute was submitted (I don’t know what dispute there is..the POD didn’t show up when it was promised). No word from Corrine, the agent assigned as my advocate (not a great advocate we will see).

Sept 17: called first thing in the morning. Ariel/Uriel answered and said he couldn’t help. Tried calling the warehouse with no response and left a voicemail to respond to them immediately. Refused my request to be transferred to a supervisor, said it needs to be scheduled. Called again and happened by chance to get Ariel/Uriel again and he called the warehouse again. No response. Called a third time, got an Adam who transferred me to Corrine’s (my supposed advocate) voicemail. In her voicemail she said she would respond 24-48 HOURS LATER!! That seems totally unacceptable to me. Regardless she was supposed to have contacted me 48-72 business hours later from 9/15 (still no word or reach out from her). Contacted them again that evening for an update. Still nothing. A “resolution” was suggested that I HIRE ANOTHER moving company to pull my stuff from my POD in the warehouse and move it to my house as other customers have done this before. Really?? Also this employee (can’t remember name) left an email message to Maria to contact me ASAP. Nothing still from this supposed supervisor.

Sept 18: Called in the evening and talked to Sarah. FINALLY an update. Local warehouse won’t make accommodations and so the POD won’t come until 9/22. The person who made that edit was supposed to contact me by phone and email, which never happened (unsurprising at this point). The scheduling dispute was closed without any of my knowledge. Sarah tried to transfer me to the advocacy team (something that until this point was forbidden to me) since Corrine didn’t respond in the window of time she was allotted. Nothing and Sarah left yet ANOTHER message stating for somebody to contact me ASAP.

This is just RIDICULOUS. I have been left in the dark this whole process with clashing abilities of what is allowed from employees. The lack of communication is totally unacceptable. I have now had to go out and get some meager supplies and we have to eat out every day to live because we have nothing. In this time of COVID, this is just unnecessary risk to me and my family. PODS has failed me to an almost indescribable level. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Long-distance move from Wilmington, NC to Staunton, VA

Started well, turned into a giant headache & waste of $

Future customers beware! What started as a seemingly solid experience has evolved into an absolute nightmare.

The initial scheduling, delivery and removal of our POD went great, which made me think the rest of the process would go just as smoothly. WRONG. After calling to schedule the delivery of our packed POD to our new house, I was informed that the zip of our new home in Staunton, VA was 20 minutes outside of their delivery zone and therefore they could not deliver the POD with all our belongings. Trying to get this figured out with their customer service has been exhausting - each time you get stuck with a new rep, who gives you a different run around, and then it's up to YOU to follow up. And each call takes 30 to 60+ minutes of waiting. They strung me along for a while thinking we could get our POD delivered since it was only 20 minutes outside of their zone (and I mean 20 minutes of easy highway driving, no back roads or anything), but recently I was told my only option would be to go to the warehouse and empty my things from the POD myself. Which defeats the whole purpose of using PODS in the first place.

I find it shocking and disappointing that in a housing market as turbulent as this, PODS has zero flexibility or concern for their customers. I understand needing to draw their delivery lines somewhere, but after giving them thousands of dollars being treated like this is truly unacceptable. Moving is already stressful enough, so leave PODS out of the equation for your own sanity!

NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Lies and false advertising. You can’t do anything they claim on their website. All lies. Can’t delete a payment or manage auto pay. Have to deal with reps who can’t ever do anything for the customer because the company is too archaic on services.

There is a five day city ordinance on pods. I set my pod up to be delivered, emptied and picked up five days later. They are fully aware of this and the pick up date was set for yesterday, 5 days, because of it. They didn’t schedule the pick up tho! Now not one person at PODS cares. Can’t reach any supervisors that will fix what they did. Supervisors refuse to make this right. This POD is now abandoned on my driveway. They refuse to pick it up til the 17th which is a city ordinance violation and a huge failure on their part that they refuse to fix!

Even the city called them. No one there cares! They don’t care that the city is considering fining them. They don’t care that their service is terrible. They don’t care that you can’t contact anyone about this!

BEWARE! This company hides behind reps working from home who are either rude or can’t do anything for you. They can’t reach anyone in headquarters to correct anything and no one there cares.

Of anything goes wrong with your POD order, you have absolutely no recourse with this company. NONE! Corporate is not even involved with any customer service. You are stuck with employees working from home who can’t or won’t help you.

ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO GET ANYTHING CORRECTED WHEN THEY SCREW UP!

Now I have an abandoned POD on my property!

PODS makes moving suck more

We recently ordered two PODS for our in-town move because we thought it was an interesting concept. The units were delivered as expected but when we contacted PODS to retrieve the units, along with most of our belongings, they informed us that they couldn’t pickup them up for 2 weeks. WHAT??? This company actually thinks it’s acceptable for people to leave their personal belongs on a pubic street, in 100+ degree heat for 2 week. I tried to reason with their offshore support reps and even tried to appeal to one of their “supervisors”, but there was no getting through to these idiots. We ended up calling another moving company to remove our belongings from the PODS and take it to a traditional storage unit. The bottom line is this is an amateur company with a broken business model, so don’t use PODS unless you want your move to suck more than it already does.

Long-distance move from New Orleans, LA to Ithaca, NY

AWFUL service

Never in my life has a company disappointed me so immensely that I felt compelled to write a review. This will be a first.

I chose PODS due to reviews about their incredible service, despite being slightly higher cost than many competitors. I believed that it was worth it for piece of my mind. So long as everything goes swimmingly in your move and there are no errors or delays, this may be true. If even the slightest thing goes off course, I hope you have a plan B because dealing with customer service after my ENTIRE POD FULL OF FURNITURE AND CLOTHING WAS DESTROYED has been abysmal.

In preparing for a hospitalization, I used PODS to get my things out of my apartment as quickly as possible. For five months, they stored my things, collecting rental for the space as well as insurance in case it was damaged. I paid over $1,000 to ship my storage pod to a facility to find that my pod couldn’t be delivered to my apartment for more than six weeks. I needed to move before then, so I had to arrange to do a self-pick up with a uhaul almost an hour away from my final destination.

As if this wasn’t stressful enough, I received a call the week it was shipped to tell me my pod had potentially been damaged in transit from a flood in New Jersey. They requested permission to check the unit (which they did not do) and sent a single human to inventory my things with me, without any support of movers.

When I finally made it to my pod, I found that my things had been destroyed in the flood. Because they did not do the preliminary check as they said, the pod sat in water for over a week. Boots that were not even exposed to the water had mold GROWING on them, as an example.

Finally, here I sit almost 6 weeks following this experience without a single piece of furniture in my new home and with just a hope I will receive even a fraction of the nearly $25,000 worth of damage. The company also intends to keep the $3,000 I spent simply storing and moving my things, though of course none of those things actually made it to my final destination. It has been nearly impossible to get in touch with PODS now that the damage has been done.

All of that is to say, I would think twice before using this service.

Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Parker, CO

DO NOT use PODS City Services

DO NOT use PODS City Services. The company is in Breach of Contract and I am looking into a lawsuit.

PODS City Services in Los Angeles pulled my truck and driver halfway through my 4 hour loading window without any notice, leaving me with my belongings in the street, and no recourse for moving to another state the next day.

I was in the process of stacking my belongings behind the truck for easy loading when the driver's manager called him, told him they were cancelling my service, and he was to close the truck and leave regardless of the fact that I still had 2 hours left in my loading window. The driver had never had this happen before, and he informed me that it was possible that he was going to run over his hours and this may be part of the reason for the cancellation. The driver's manager would not speak to me on the phone and it was 30 min more before someone from City Services called me to inform me of the cancellation, claiming that I wouldn't have time to load the truck when my movers arrived. The contract states that I am responsible for loading the POD and that I have 4 hours to load, period. There is no specification on how much, if anything has to be in the POD, as long as it is not a banned item. I was in good standing on payment for the service, they had my credit card on file to charge for the storage fee and transportation fee, I had delivery dates and pickup dates scheduled at my new address. For all intents and purposes the POD was contracted to me for my moving and storage use, and PODS City Services breached their contract, and I was stuck.

On top of that, the City Services manager then offered to allow me to load my POD at their facility the next morning, for an extra charge, but I would be responsible for getting my belongings moved there and loaded before 3pm. Luckily my moving company went above and beyond to accommodate these unforeseen changes, since I was stuck agreeing to this in order to make my out of state move. In addition to this, when I arrived at the Compton PODS facility for which the City Services manager had provided the address, my POD was not there. My POD was in fact at a different facility and I had to reroute my moving company and drive to another location, incurring extra costs with the movers, as well as delaying my own departure. When the movers were finally able to load the POD with my belongings it took roughly 45 minutes to complete and for the POD to be locked up and ready to go.

I have now been charged multiple fees from PODS & their recommended moving services and will be seeking restitution for my move since services rendered were not what was agreed to in the contract. I have never been treated so poorly by a company and it's management.

Delayed delivery

Terrible process and company, please everyone, don’t use their service! The pod left our house in Ohio on 17th afternoon 4pm, and was scheduled delivered on 27th to CA. Today is 24th, when we called to check the status, we were told that the pod is still in OH and it was our fault that it got delayed. The reason is I turned in a gypsy moth form on the next day when an automated email was sent to me, and I have to manually reschedule the delivery. Meanwhile, I was never reached out for follow ups or confirmation. The container just sit in the storage location for 7 days. I mean, how many more days it will be delayed if I didn’t call to inquiry today?? And of course, “no error” on their side, it was because we sent back a form 1 day late. And what’s funny is the transition fee is already charged to my credit card even though the container is sitting in their storage location! Their operation and logistics system is messed up. Everyone, please read my review first before you make your decision of choosing PODs.

DO NOT USE PODS | WILL DAMAGE YOUR ITEMS AND TAKE FOREVER

Our pod was clearly dropped or damaged and many items inside were damaged due to this. I am not surprised that their "insurance" refused to pay out for the damaged items. DO NOT USE PODS you will regret the decision. It is the worst moving and shipping company I have ever used and they do not care about their customers at all.

Do not use pods if you need specific dates and times agreed on to be followed. When we booked this service we were told it would be 3-5 days for the pod to be moved the 1000 miles to the new location. The pod was picked up on the 29th and was not able to be accessed until the 14th (at their distribution center, the could not even get it to my location in time). It took them over 14 days vs the 3-5 days we were promised and they damaged our items. Never use pods if you care about your items or the time frame that stuff needs to be done.

Won’t honor insurance claim

I am very disappointed in how PODs is handling my missing items and damaged dresser. I submitted a police report stating missing bins of clothes and broken dresser like they requested. Only to have them say they will not refund me anything! When I rented the container I was told it came with 10,000 in insurance for any issues yet they won’t refund list and broken items??????

I am so upset and lost all my business and winter clothes and had to buy nee dresser for my son. I did everything they asked me to get NOTHING!!!!

Beware when using them. They do not deliver what they promise!

Poor customer services , lies and no one can help you

Had pod set up to move 12/14/21 after being told that could not deliver pod to my new address. Call to check On delivery was told since it was a pick up of a empty container they would not pick up and I was closing. They refused to help me even though it had a pick up for 12/14/21 and I was closing 12.15.21. The. Was told after I spent a ton of money on a different mover that they could deliver to that address it was just a modified drop off date. At that point it was to late and even though it was their error and no one ever told me they would not pick up a empty pod I now have to pay the buyer because pod has refused to live pod even out if drive way. Never use them each customer service person told me something different and said they could not escalated to supervision or I was told they do not have supervisor

Thieves

Thieves, absolutely the worse experience I ever had. I would never ever use them again. They charged me over $3000 because of a mistake by a new associate and they would never hold themselves to an ethical or moral standards to correct it and do what is right. The quote I got in an email vs what they charged is basically $3000 more. I basically pegged them to go back and listen to the conversations that took place on November 22nd and November 23rd and to check email sent to me with quote that is valid until November 29 and they would never do it so I can get my credit money back. In comparison to UHAUL it is night and day... they are so much better than this ruthless company

Billing and customer service is horrible!

Erroneously charged $1825.80. Called customer service twice now and was told (the first call) within 24 to 48 hours the charge would be removed. Guess what? It cleared my account. The second call was a no win situation. I asked speak to a supervisor or manager...none available and no phone number to contact one. The customer service rep refused to remove me from autopay and could not and would not reimburse my lost $$$. Awful service! Run far far away from this incompetent company!!
